Nottingham Council is going to put restrictions on the number of pets council tenants can keep. I know there are cases of people keeping far too many animals in unsuitable conditions but this will mean you couldn't have 2 dogs or cats.

Its funny I met two lots of people this summer who said they liked to come to Scotland with their dogs because its much more dog friendly than in England. I'm beginning to see what they meant. I hope its not the start of another round of restrictions on dogs.

Im afraid to say North Lanarkshire Council have that ruling too, before we bought our house we were breaking the rules with 4 dogs, 2 cats, ferrets and chickens Laughing
Its 1 dog 1 cat and one caged bird that NLC stipulate

That seems mean. I'm sure lots of council tenants in Falkirk have more than one dog .

I think they are being a bit rotten limiting it to one of each I'm sure two wouldn't make a big difference, but I don't think they are being outright mean I'm sure they do want to protect animals they just don't seem to have taken any sound advice on what would constitute too many animals in a house or flat.

I think that you can 'break' the rules until a complain is lodged........then because the rules are already in place it is easier to enforce them if needed.......
