They all look so intense with the ball going past a good demonstration of how hard all the handlers must have worked to get their dogs to that stage well done everyone |

Lindy,
all the dogs in the last class can do a 3 minute sit, down or in some cases stand stay with the handlers out of the room without any problem............infact at this stage boredom is the biggest problem.....hence I will bounce a ball.....or throw it etc.
This makes it far more interesting I like to try and up the distraction level _________________ John Thomson

Kirsty, don't worry about it. I haven't either. Mishka now chooses to go deaf when told to stay |

WOW!!!!! I'm lucky if I can manage 5 seconds out of sight when I tell Jake to sit and stay.
As others have said, it's an incentive! The photos are great and all the dogs in agility look so well trained. |

How old is the dog in the first photo? And where did it come from? I know of a bitch almost identical to this dog. The one I know is almost a year and was rehomed from Cardonald as a young puppy, possibly at 8 - 10 weeks old, there were a number of puppies in her litter. |

Nicola,
Rex is around 14/16 weeks from memory.........doing very well in class.....very focused on his handler. I will try to ask where he came from.

Jim told me Buster doesn't listen, look at the wee soul he is all ears and really paying attention. Maybe I should use chicken with my Primary 1 class. |

Ah, thanks, John. That dog and the one I know look so strikingly alike but obviously they aren't fromthe same litter as he is younger. |
