Debbie ............ I do b*gger all other than waffle on this forum. John, on the other hand, inputs day in and day out behind the scenes that no one sees or is aware of to keep this on the go. He is the one who deserves the credit. I see him sit for hours on end looking for ways to improve things and with the help from yourself and the rest of the committee he has the backing.
He has the grit and determination to make CDTC a viable, prosperous and happy club.
He enjoys it and takes pride in it which is more than half the battle.

Marcie, Marcie, Marcie............................................................. Do you realise how important your waffling is to some of us!!!?????

As Kirsty said PM's also offer support and confidentiality to some of us.

Your jokes....................Brilliant!!!!!

You also support John allowing him to work on club matters. Or is that so that you can waffle a bit longer????????????? Laughing

Thanks everyone Embarassed

I just like to know we are heading the right way, I don't want to head in a direction that nobody thinks is right just because I thought it was good idea.

I would like to say that the club has been in existence for over 40 years, so this is not something I started, quite a few on the committee has been involved with the club for years, I started attending just less that 5 years ago with Diesel. I took over as trainer about 16 or 17 months ago. I have been going to dog training classes since I was 17 and have seen some things I like and some I don't like over the years.

I have implemented quite a few changes since I took over all with the best of intentions........I like to check that our members are happy with the way things are moving because without the support and attendance by the members the club cannot survive financially.

As you are aware we are probably the cheapest dog training club in the country in terms of cost per class so have to rely on a healthy membership. Lots of clubs charge 4 or 5 times as much as we do. Club funds has been a problem in the past and on one occasion the club came close to shutting due to lack of money.Thankfully we now have plenty of regulars and a constant stream of new starts.

Any suggestions as always are very welcome

John,
I and I suppose a few other members have attended the club with various dogs over the years, only to drop away after a while I think from what I had experienced the club provided a service.

Due to the changes you have made, suggestions, support and sheer hard work behind the scenes you have turned the club into a 'club/community'.

I am pretty sure that had it not been for your support and advice myself and others would have again fallen away from the club as it would have served its purpose.

Now you have given and do give many of us a bit more to look forward to when attending classes or walks or even.......................THE FORUM Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Thanks Very Happy

Jim and Buster enjoy going to the training and Buster has turned into a really friendly wee dog. He is very well socialised due to taking part in the group walks and the training classes. Also Jim and I found the advice from people on the Forum very valuable when we were trying to decide wether or not to get Buster 'done'. All in all I am very glad we found Cumbernauld dog training on the inter net. Thanks folks.
