I'm not pretending I know all there is to know about training dogs - I don't.....I gather you are a man? Hence the term "lass".
Actually, my Westie can do some doggie dancing moves, don't you know, and if you listen to her at times, it's as if she's singing! 'magine that eh? |

I were out crawling the fields while my uncles gun dogs flushed out the birds afor i could walk, an learnt to walk while holding on to the tail o the terriers. So dont you be telling me how you silken coated modern westie is an earth dog...that is tut.

The nuttalls bred Patterdales are the bloodlines that were bred by Mr Brian Nuttall. He bred the foundation line of the Patterdale terrier and the best an most highly prized blood lines for working bred stock.
Not white westie show dogs.

Its all to do with the 'softness ' of dogs now. Like the fact when i get my bedlington terrier it will have to come from working stock rather than softer show stock....not that I am slating all show type dogs, just each to thier own, specially when it comes to working dogs _________________ lurchers Pixel and Zev and whippet, Fen

My friends have a Patterdale and they think he is a handful, but she tries to 'mother' him !!!! When we went to visit them I made the wee guy work for treats etc and he was as sharp as a tack!!!! Great wee character, I loved him!!!! |

I was just going to say that, Shirley. The dogs that are bred for working have higher natural insticts than those of the same type bred for show.
I like Bedlington Terriers. |

Not at all, Shirley. Just her attitude, to me, seems like a mans. |

I've met a few Patterdale terriers at agility shows. They seem to be very good at that! |
