Just another thought on this, I know that they are oftern looking for volunteers to walk and socialise the dogs could we possible think about offering to do this as a group for one or two dogs when we go on some of our weekend walks? Obviously we would need to speak to them about it and it would need to be dogs who would be confidnet enough and fit enough to join us but i'm sure there must be some who would have a ball if we took them? maybe once a month or fortnight?

Linday anna jones - what a lovely thought - I hope we can manage that - but then putting them back into the trust would be so hard. Oh I am actually filling up at the thought - what a diddy I am - its the time of year.

Brilliant idea Lindy! weekends will probably be bad for me though. Usually working Confused

I would think that aslong as you don't take them home just out on the walk and back to the centre you won't get too much time to bond and feel like you should keep them, what we would be doing is helping them get a good home as they will be getting socialised with dogs, people and new places making the dogs a better candiate for rehoming as they are getting this. I always look on the DT web site and the dogs add's say no other pets, no children etc etc this would help to erase this from their add thuis giving them a better chance at a good home.
