Hi everyone,
Im Andrew/ Andy and have a "multi-pedigree" Rottie/ Black Lab called Max.
We rescued him from a SSPC centre 1 year ago.
He is 2.5 years old and has had basic training from me and my girlfriend. Im hoping to come to the class in the new year. Looking for some tips for myself and get Max under more control.
The basic pack order page was a great read.
well thats about it really.
Cheers
Andy |

cheers guys, sure the walks sound great. Ill take some photos of Max and post them up.
Is there a particular forum for that sort of thing.
He is a great natured dog, just needs to learn that im the boss and that roads are dangerous, he also like to pul on the lead most of the time.

Andy welcome to the forum and congratulations of rescuing a large dog.
I have two rescue shepherds and one of them in particular was a real challenge. Stick to the pack order rules and you are at least half way there. I wouldnt say mine are completely under control when outside but at least now Dodge is not trying to dominate every dog he meets. The walks have socialised my dogs and made such a difference to my life. I do really need to look at training though
The folks on the fourm are the best you can meet and willing to help any one with dog advice.
look forward to meeting you in the new year. |
