Murphy always seems to suffer from doggie dandruff ....... despite eating the same diet as Diesel he always has dry skin under his coat and a dry nose which cracks open whilst Diesel is problem free. I have been putting aloe vera gel on his nose to heal it and also started giving him Oil of Evening Primrose capsules with his meals.
In the meantime I was wondering about any other measures I can try ........... Lorna suggested today a little vegetable oil mixed with a little tea tree oil and massaging it into his coat.
Has anyone else got any other tried and tested remedies????

Otto has dry skin on his ears, and the vet suggested evening primrose oil.

She also said stress can bring it on. And pointers are a bit sensitive and prone to it.

yeah the vet had said OEP to me for his nose. Apparently it's central heating that's the worst culprit for that. Some dogs are more sensitive than others to it.

Bear gets lip balm on his nose and sun cream in summer as he tends to burn at top of his nose, also uses Avon stuff in summer to keep midges at bay. He's a better customer than me Very Happy
