Oooh!
What is the difference between Parsons Russel and Jack Russel?! I thought they were the same thing, and that the man who established the breed was Parson Jack Russell. Have I fallen for an urban myth?!!!

About £200 and a bit of paper!! Laughing Laughing

Parson Russell's are recognised by the KC as a breed. Less variation in types as a breed standard has been set down, the same standard as Parson John Russell originally bred his terriers. Different breeders bred them to suit their own need's hence the amount of different types of Jack Russell. The main difference is Parson's have longer legs and tend to have a more athletic look.

Jack Russell and Fox Terrier was the original cross breed by Parson Jack Russel.

They used to be called Parson Jack Russel Terrier, but the breed name was shortened a good few years ago to Parson Russel Terrier.

Bitches stand around 13 inches at the withers, Males 15 inches.

I love these little dogs, great character and full of attitude! Her is Jilly, my PRT.
