this is what i found scattered over the grass where we take Koda out, just outside the old ladys house, quite a lot on the ground, maybe a couple of hundred pellets. they have a distinct smell that i just cant for the life of me rem what it is, kinda cleaning up stuff i guess, but i dont know what to do.
so i picked up a few to take home, has anyone seen them before, i dont know if they are harmful, or even if they were put out by her, but they seem awfully close to her house and where we take him. Can anyone advise me what to do now. should i take the pellets somewhere to see what they are? i took some incase he gets ill and the vet had something to go on, but he seems fine. oh i dont know.

that's very dubious Kerry ............. I'd force feed them to the old bag next door and see what happens! |

they are worrying looking, but if they are harmful she is targeting quite a lot of dogs on the street, i really 't know if i should take them to the police and just say i suspect she is putting them down as i have no proof, or would they just tell me im being silly. |

oh trust me i would luv to do more than just feed them to her, driving us mad. i was even goin to chap her door and ask her if she did it as i need to know if they are harmful, but didnt know if that would make things worse, we havent heard from her since the last time, we thought she learned but doesnt look like it. he only has one week to go then he can go across the road the grass where everyone else goes. |

Not sure how they would play it. It would depend on whether or not you got a 'dog friendly' policeman! How about trying the dog warden? She might take them and find out what they are or alternatively the Environmental Health or SSPCA ...........
I'd definitely want to know what they are.
Call the Parks and Recreations Dept (or whatever they are called) and ask if they have been putting down any sort of pellets ............. that might give you a place to start. |

If you do, put gloves on. It could be some sort of vermin poison or weedkiller. Don't get it on your skin just in case. |

Hi,
I will email a link to Fiona the dog warden, I'll let you know the reply.
Looks very suspicious to me.........certainly not going to do the dog any good _________________ John Thomson

I am outraged at this! I hope to god that no dog or child has yet been harmed! What an irresponsible thing to do! Honestly some people should be locked up. |

Should they be passed to the Environmental Health dept for investigation? If they are dangerous they might be able to scare the woman with threat of prosecution. |

Tried calling the dog warden there, but they just pass a message on so i might not get a call untill tomorrow on what to do. but i just wanted to report it incase they are harmful, hopefully they aren`t, but you just cant tell.
And yeah there are kids and a lot more dogs that walk on that stretch of grass. Silly old lady!! (thats me being polite ) |
