She is very protective over bones and chews at the moment i will just keep a closer eye on her.
Does this mean no training classes? _________________ Happiness is being loved by 2 Great Danes |

Emma I would say so. I've seen dogs be very aggressive around bitches in season!! Also you might start gettin strange dogs hanging around your house _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Emma, a couple of the boys were really very interested in her bits the time before last when we were walking - I thought she might be coming into season. The wee lamb |

Hi, My Skye is also in season just now- she has been bleeding for 2 and a half weeks- am getting her spayed as I wouldn't want to put her through this again.
She also had a urine infection which is apparently common when bitches are in season.
We will hopefully be back at class soon as she is really missing seeing her pals.

Really? I didnt realise that! Poor Skye
Emma, hope your Skye is ok. Im sure she'll be feeling a bit sorry for herself!! Blankets all round the house then?? You should put some wee panties on her! Awww.
(Although that would prevent her from cleaning herself, which you wouldnt want to get her into the habit of I suppose!) _________________ Ashley with Holly & Murphy.
I hope to one day be as great as my dog thinks I am right now!! |

Kirsten, hope your Skye is fine soon.
Emma, a few weeks of mess and moods. Keep her clean and close. You can get pants for her if you want Poundshop had some the other day- if not Acorn Pets. You can get a spray from the vet to discourage the boys. _________________ Regards,

Emma try to avoid pants if you can as they can cause infections. She will keep herself clean. A season lasts for 3 weeks so keep eye on her for this long. Also means no training for 3 weeks too Tala (who's in 2nd week) is more clingy with my hubby and restless. She can also be quite moody and huffy during season tends to lie out of the way at times, but we've all been there Keep her on lead if out so you can keep her away from potential suitors!
The sprays don't work in my opinion or Bears so wouldn't waste your money. Your just lucky that you have 2 bitches as this house is murder at the minute |

Emma
Bubbles was in season when I got her. She was enlarged down there and there was spotting for about 10 days, nothing drastic but enough to mark bedding et.
She paid a lot of attention to herself as well.
I wasn`t allowed to take her near other dogs in case of accidents for about a week after the blood stopped
I had to wait a further 3 months before I could get her dressed _________________ My life belongs to a Collie |

That's what Lindy did with Dora
Came up to mine looking for old pants small enough for her bum
And just cut a hole for her tail! _________________ Elizabeth and Cara

I had read that Jenny best to leave the pants then, i have noticed she is very grumpy with Lady not Nasty just a bit more dominant.
Thanks for the tips i think i will save my money
by the way do they bleed for 3 weeks then you have to keep them away from boys for an extra week or is it just a week from when the bleeding stops? _________________ Happiness is being loved by 2 Great Danes |
