Dogs for me although I've had both. I prefer to avoid having the twice a year season as it can sometimes happen at the most awkward times. If I had a bitch in the future I would have her spayed. |

We always have had pairs of Beagle bitches, very loyal and run off less than the dogs.
However, we usually have Great Dane dogs. It just happened that way. I am not really fussed about dogs or bitches when it comes to Great Danes.
I really think the temperament is more important than the gender of the dog. _________________ Regards,

Great Danes are not substitute children. They are much more important than that! |

I don't think i have a preference? I know, can't even make my mind up, i,d say either, as i have had both! From my experience boys make you more proud of what they do regardless of what it is, does this make sense to anyone? As for girls, well they are more affectionate, easier to train, less domineering, but they do have the season thing, but that's only if you intend breeding, otherwise that is easy to discard!? All of these point are just what i have found in my experience! After all that a score draw, i,m sitting on the fence..Lol _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

I hate to say it.... but yes it actually does to me I think (in my experience boys look for your response after everything they do!! Its like " ooh ooh did you see me did you see me?!" where as girls just do what they do and don't care if you seen them or not!!!! not sure now if that is what you meant Barry, |

I don't have a preference I have had both dogs and bitches and so far they have all be handfuls 3 JRTS and one Lab and they have all caused us loads of problems our last JRT Jock loved to chase things too and the Lab was a big greedy pig who would run away and raid peoples bins on a regular basis no matter what my parents did to stop him running away and well Dora and Lizzy are a pair of wee madams who love rabbits with a passion I would have either |

I have experience of both and didn't really notice that much difference to be honest in terms of how to train them or what sort of pet they were.
We got a male because Ian wanted a male, I wasn't bothered.
My friend has a good analogy about kids - boys mess with your house, girls mess with your mind, but dogs aint kids. |

Ah but boys are just that little bit more thick, er I mean less devious! My stepson thinks he's a master liar, and he's just so not.
Doesn't plan out his crime in advance, and always leaves a trail. Daughters will - or maybe that was just me |

Na I think your right Suzanne my sis and I were always good at telling fibs and getting away with it I think boys just don't care if they get caught cause they can sook into their mums and get let off with it, cause lets face it it's the mums that rule the house |
