Does placing a bottle filled with water on the lawn, really stop dogs from urinating on the lawn?

can't say i am struck of this female!............i have had dogs of many shapes and sizes over 24 years and always used the same commands and pack leadership and never had them troublesome!...............sorry don't like!as for the bottle of water not sure ....................however there is a peepost on the market designed for male dogs to continually urinate wherever you place it in your garden!................i am lead to believe it is impregnated with some pheromone to encourage this!
