Even we fragile humans can eat raw meat, with some exceptions such as chicken and pork, so I don't see why dogs shouldn't eat raw meat. We still feed Doogle dried puppy food for breakfast, but that's more out of convenience for us. He now often leaves this for a second, or third 'sitting' but give him fish or meat and it vanishes! |

Dogs should be eating what they naturally eat i.e raw meat and bones. Same with humans, lots of diseases in society are down to poor diet. Doogle now gets raw meat every day and has def. improved. A lot of human food you can buy is full of cheap ingredients that's not good for you and it's the same for alot of dog food. |

That's exactly it Isabel ................. I just wish I was as strict with myself as I am with my dogs. I don't buy convenience foods, I always cook everything from scratch, don't even use sauces in a jar etc, BUT I like too much of the wrong things like cheese, chocolate, bread, booze.
Should care for myself as much as I care for my dogs!!!! |

I know, i think we're more concerned about doogles diet than ours, we generally eat healthily but like you there's loads of things i can't resist. It's funy cos i was telling my friend that we were switching doogle to raw food cos dog food is too processed and she looked at me and said " yes, cos you would never eat anything processed would you!). I've a sweet tooth and can't resist sweeties |

interesting I agree with Isabel and Marcella I give the dogs the best and don't always manage it for me, but i do try most meals are cooked from scratch and I don't use jars etc too often. |
