Today he did his first retrieve over water in the glen and he came back! (Well eventually but that was as much my fault for not walking away from him so's he had to find me, as anything)
He had a BRILLIANT time and this definitely seems to be what he enjoys doing. After all what more could a young gundog want, outside in the fresh air , running about and using his brain! Yes believe it or not he DOES have one, he just keeps it hidden a lot of the time He is now muddy, dirty, was wet, EXHAUSTED and very happy. PERFECT!!
Now all I have to do is learn to be much firmer with him as he does take the mickey out of me. _________________ Happiness is watching my dog chase leaves dancing in the breeze. |

A tired gundog is a wonderful pet! Try hide and seek - you'll never win |
