Breed: English Cocker Spaniel
Colour: Gold
Name: Poppy
Dog/Bitch: Bitch
Age/DoB: 9 April 2007
Neutered: Yes April 08
Vaccinated: Yes may require Lepto booster
Chipped: Yes
Other Dogs: Good but a little boisterous sometimes
Cats: Inquisitive; ok with the one here
Rabbits: Will chase on the fields where exercised
Sheep: Needs to be kept on lead until trained
Equines: Ignores
Children: Dog savvy children over 12 years only
House Trained: Yes goes to the door to get out
Lead Trained: Can pull occasionally, but usually quite good.
Recall: Very good comes to the whistle or voice.

Poppy is a Puppy Farm dog, she was not KC registered. Poppy was due to be PTS for aggression by the latest in a long line of owners at the tender age of 7 months (nipped a 4yo). She seems to have been sold or passed on many times, has had 7 homes, had been undernourished for some time with a resultant lack of coat and bone growth; which was entirely due to the wrong type of food and being fed too few meals a day for a puppy her age.

Poppy is a typical puppy, mouthing and nipping as they all do. She responds well once she understands the rules, boundaries and limitations and needs somebody who exhibits good pack leadership. As a puppy she is constantly testing the boundaries but is playful and interacts well with my two Springers. We have a full assessment sheet for anybody who may be interested.

She is extremely fast, athletic, strong and agile, therefore we believe, ideally she would be best placed with someone for flyball, agility or obedience, as we think she will excel at one of these activities and would enjoy an active and stimulating lifestyle and training.

For more information contact the Spaniel Trust on 01688 400337 or PM myself or EileenC
