Janis might be worth checking if you are going to get it replaced as they are going to alternate collections one week black one week blue

We have a turquoise one which is used for paper recycling collections. Is this the same bin that will be used for a different thing or have we to find space for yet another one?

It's the same blue bin you used to just put paper in....I'm glad about this as it means my garage won't be so full of stuff to go to the recycling centre.

Just glass will need to be taken now.

We're also getting a compost bin - so should be very little we'll be chucking away.

Drive along the M74 past the landfill site - it's what turned me!!

We have 2 black bins, 1 of which lies empty constantly. You can have 1 of ours for free if you uplift it.

Answer: In your blue bin we need clean material for recycling. If the material is not clean, the odours produced will attract flies to lay their eggs leading to maggots. To easily avoid this, rinse all your tins, drinks cartons, plastic bottles, tubs and trays. The full list follows:

I just got this off North Lanark Council web site, looks like the both of us may have been wrong

Rolling Eyes Never mind nothing like a good arguement over something daft Laughing Laughing

This is so weird the council want you to wash your rubbish before you put it out in your blue bins.

Why did they not ask you to do this when all rubbish went out in the black bins.

Are flys not a problem in black bins.

What goes in the black bin Question Question Question

I have heard people talking about brown bins, what might they be for. Question Question Question

The brown bin is for compostable garden waste. The worst thing you can do is put glass or household waste in these bins.
