Just got Cuthbert back from his bath and haircut. He apparently hates getting his feet touched ( I thought it was just with me!) despite us trying to keep touching his feet to get him used to it. We will obviously keep doing that and getting him groomed up at Louise and Rob's frequently but any other suggestions please as it is next to impossible to get his feet trimmed without him getting distressed.

You need to make touching his feet a good experience Gaelle...........touch his leg.....treat him.....touch lower..treat..lower......treat.........until he will let you touch his feet.

It will take a while but I suggest this is thew way to go forward.

Okay , pretty much as before but with treats ongoing!!! Can't see Cuthbert complaining about treats on a long term basis!! Thanks John

what we did when the girls were puppys was touch and play with there paws and legs all the time, good to do it when they are sleeping too. now we can poke, prod, pull, tickle and role the girls over and touch just about any part of them and they dont bother, another thing is clipping there nails when they are sleeping. it makes it less stressful as they are already relaxed.

also look at there ears, teeth, any part of there body that a vet might need to look at some day so that they dont have a problem at the vets.
