Now that a proportion of Cumbernauld Dog Training School members and forum members are interested in longer than average dog walks I decided to look on the Internet for websites dedicated to this subject and was shocked to find that the most obvious web address, www.extremedogwalking.com , had not been registered so I registered it
Just a holding page there at the moment ( huge thanks to Linsey, www.tagnewmedia.co.uk ) but I think this web address could be the beginnings of a great site catering for extreme dog walkers. _________________ John Thomson

cool... shes learning that girl
I lost a popular domain the other day... de-registered and swallowed by a domain reselling company in 10 minutes of its release... i swore!
You could use the same forums, same data and just re-skin this over there.. that would make it look very busy _________________ Quoting Jack: you know me - a complete hopeless case & Sadly - and mark it in your diaries folks as you won't see this happen often - but <gulp> I HAVE to agree with Dave on this.

Ian looks all the time for sites that tell you which hills are suitable for dogs, where you can take a dog cycling, etc and they are hard to find. He had to rely on forums from other hillwalkers.
He went to Glen Lyon on Saturday and didn't know there is a huge herd of deer on the hills -he knows now!! He would have given it a big miss given Otto's propensity for chasing them.
Others like Ben Venue are perfect.
Others are deer/sheep free, but not good for dogs given sheer drops, scree, narrow ridges. |

well hopefully this site will be full of people who take their dogs walk and can pass on their knowledge about taking your dogs out hill walking so we can all enjoy more longer harder walks with our four legged friends |

Yeh its exactly what we all need just now. Most of us are getting really in to all these walks so it will be good to have knowledge of decent walks all stored and talked about in one place. Hopefully we'll get people from all over as well... there must be other groups of "ramblers with dogs" in the world lol. _________________ Ashley with Holly & Murphy.
I hope to one day be as great as my dog thinks I am right now!! |
