How much should I be feeding a pup? He's a boxer pup and is 16 weeks old. I'm not 100% sure how much I should be giving him, I've looked about but can't find the answer. |

the general rule as i know it is 3% of his ideal body weight, what weight should he be for his age just now. once youv got that i would just gradually up it has he gets older.
hope this helps _________________ microchiping and grooming www.chipnclip.co.uk

Pups seem to eat far more than the 2%, 3% of body weight.
Tico is just over 14lbs but devouring 1lb mince a day plus 3 or 4 chicken wings and anything and everything she can steal from the others bowls........plus marrow and rib bones! _________________ John Thomson

He's eating way more than what this would calculate out at. He's eating roughly 700 grams a day. |

Just did a quick search and I get this back

How much do I feed my puppy?
BARF World recommends feeding puppies up to 10 % of their body weight. Therefore, if your pup weighs 10 lbs you should feed 1 lb of food divided between 3 or 4 feedings per day. Growing puppies, especially the large breeds, should be kept lean so adjustments to feeding amounts will have to be monitored closely. |

As a general rule, a normal active dog require about 2% of its body weight per day. A highly active dog may require about 3% of its body weight per day. No two dogs are alike in their metabolic rates, age, or activity levels Puppies can use up to 10% of their growing body weight. |
