I came back in from work this afternoon.......switched on the PC to check the forum...........the house lights flickered and my PC died..........fried the motherboard I think........just when you thought things couldn't get any worse  at least Marcella's work PC was OK.......so I'm back to my trusty old computer..........really slow

ooops!!!!!............that ain't cheap!.............could you get one from ebay or somewhere a pc has failed elsewhere?

john you should get a good powersurge plug...
I have one that protects from surges and also has a backup battery (about 5 mins) which gives me time to safely shut everything down if there is a powercut.

| wehave those power surge plugs one in the lvivng room for the tv and one for the PC etc in the back room |
