Go into an Asda or a big W (woolworths) they do new ones for £15-£20..they aren't fancy of course but do the job

Thanks folks. Just went for an O2 one, £24. The microphone on my PDA is dodgy, so will be using that with a new O2 SIM and divert (free o2 to o2 calls Wink ) incoming calls to the cheapo phone with a PAYG SIM.

Means I can still use the PDA for data / browsing / SMS and have a sensible phone for calls.

That's OK folks, no worries.. i just decided to get the Nokia from O2 as it was cheap enough and meant I saved £5 for the PAYG SIM by getting it at the same time.

The microphone is on the bottom of my PDA (VarioII) - works if you shout into it really close. Don't want to knacker the PDA by opening it up, and I'm not allowed to upgrade (girlfriend restricted service)
