Speaking as one who cannot partake in your walks I find it brilliant that you are all so comfortable with each other and ALL so aware of ALL of the dogs you will just steam in, whoever is handiest, to deal with these situations. It would be a huge comfort to me if I were able to walk with you and I'm positive any newcomer to your walks will feel exactly the same. I'd rather put an owners nose slightly out of joint than risk a mass brawl with the dogs - good on you Shirl and all! Wink

its also hand if we are approaching other dog or people who don't look to comfortable about the pack approaching them you grab you own dog of you can and or the nearest one too you. i just feel it shows responsibility.

Michelle's GSD 'Ruby' came out walking with us this afternoon.......Michele will not mind me saying that at 10 months old she is now in her 4 th home.......her forever home.........Ruby lacks social skills and today was quickly put into place by some of the more dominant dogs............despite her efforts she left today's walk knowing that rottweilers are not to be messed with Very Happy

as always it was noise and posturing with no real physical contact.....i bet she sleep soundly tonight

Hi Michelle and welcome to the forum. I met you today on the walk, I have Dexter the young Doberman dog. Ruby is lovely and am sure in time she will be all the dog you want and more. Smile

I'm Lisa with Hektor the 'teenage' Great Dane. I think its brilliant that you've taken on a dog with a few 'issues', hats off to you. I'm not sure if I saw you at the classes on Thursday, I'm afraid that I need to give Hektor my FULL attention at the moment ( he's got a few issues himself that we are working on!), I dont get to speak to any other dogs at the moment.
I'm sure you will enjoy the forum, the classes and of course the walks.

I dont know what I would have done these last few months without all the help, support and understanding this lot dish out!

Hi Michelle, we met briefly. I have two Great Danes, Poppy, the puppy whom you met and Basil who is older. I am sure you will have great joy with your beautiful girl. I hope to see you at class or on a walk soon.
