Otto had a sore on his paw...we just tried to keep it clean (using salty water, especially after he'd been out) and stopped him licking it and it cleared up in a week.

That's assuming it's not too deep though. We did think about one of those boot things, but it cleared up quickly enough.

clean it grace and get some spray plaster on it!............it won't let germs or dirt in and being a spray plaster it won't come off!

Teeny word of warning...if your dog is a wuss (like my Sykes) be prepared for a yelp if you apply the spray plaster as it does sting when it goes on.

Cracking tip that Janis I'll remember it!!!! Smile

Our 2 have had their fare share of cut paws

As long as it's not too deep keep it clean and it should heal ok

Unfortunately cut is almost the length of his pad and is quite deep (well I think so) its cut up one side about 1/4 cm Crying or Very sad so not able to take him out for walks ! my mum is going to look after him while I nip to shops for liquid skin, dettol etc. Thankfully he is no wuss, so their will be no yelping.

I wasn't so good yesterday and I was starting to panic, but it looks a lot better today. Where do you get the tea trea gel, I was looking for a tea tree spray. He's been very good considering he is not getting any walks. although after 1 1/2 hours of playing tug, I was too tired, and he was getting all stroppy cause I would'nt play anymore Rolling Eyes

I'm pretty sure I've seen some tea tree gel in Holland and Barret. Failing that most health food stores should have some form of tea tree, even some pharmacies do too. Good hunting. Hope he improves.
