The girls talking about Dirty Dancing last night got me thinking again.......

Favourite movies and TV shows.........post some clips and why you liked them.....

One that takes me back......Miami Vice......the original.Crockett and Tubbs, Ferrari Spyders ( I know it was a fake!), Scarrab power boats, jackets with square shoulders, rolled up sleaves and a t shirt underneath.......and I did go out dressed like that Laughing

Pure 80's overkill......Enjoy

My favourite film of all time used to be An Affair To Remember.....until I watched Love Actually - I cry EVERY time but so cannot resist watching it. The casting was sheer genius I love everything about it. Smile

I have massively varied tastes, some slushy, some Action (LOVE Predator, Terminator & Commando - yep I used to have a little thing about Arnie Embarassed ) Love Hostel 1, The Saw movies, Final Destination but also love Crime & Thrillers as well as the damned good old classics - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (watched that last weekend), Mary Poppins, Bednobs & Broomsticks, Wizard of Oz, and the timeless Charlie & The Chocolate Factory - original not the weird version with Johnny Depp.

Can't watch ANY Disney Film without crying ALL the way through and making myself miserable and sick - please do NOT mention Bambi, Dumbo OR Watership Down Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad And O.M.G! - Lassie - I leave the room if it comes on - just can't handle stuff with animals in, getting hurt, scared or upset Embarassed
OMG - Just remember - Turner And Hooch - blubbed like the biggest baby EVER at that one!!!! Embarassed Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Favourite film is Dancin Thru the Dark which is set in a Liverpool nightclub in the 80s - written by Willie Russell. Just reminds me of what it was like to grow up in a small town at that time ie don't get too big for your boots.

I watch a lot of TV much to Ian's annoyance, but it's how I relax....animal documentaries, ER, Sex & the City, X Factor, travel progs like Stephen Fry's tour of America, anything by Peter Kay, but especially Phoenix Nights, Gavin & Stacy....too many...

I love 'Shrek' because it always makes me laugh. Dario Fo's 'Accidental Death of an Anarchist' is my favourite TV programme ever. I watch lots of quizzes and comedy. QI is great.

i like some weepys but have to be in the right mood for them, same with horrors have just watched all the saw films 1 to 4 not see 5 yet didnt like 4 so much but the others were very clever.

love Disney films the music is always spot on.

i love philological thrillers, and films or programs that give you all the clues so you can work out the ending or look back and see it coming.

One of my fave films of all time is Back to the Future - the Doc is brilliant, closely followed by the soundtrack and car

Some fave TV shows are Dexter (absolutely dark and brilliant), Criminal Minds, Bones and have started watching the new one Fringe

A bit like Kendal, ones with clues so I can try to guess who did it

Can't beat Top Gun however Homeward Bound is my biggest weepy. Last time we watched it JJ asked 3 times why I was crying. One day he will realise why there are always paper tissues beside the TV.
