I'm delighted you've got her home Margaret. Very Happy

Sheila is now sporting a lovely pink t shirt courtesy of her auntie heather

We had to take the tape of her wound tonight as requested by the vet, I ended up taking kiera down to my sisters house as sheila was in pain and whiningpoor sole. she ended up biting my husband (no damage) saying that if hubby did that to me Id have done more than bite him. she is now sleeping beside me on the sofa wearing one of my sons vests to keep her off the wound. It looks awful. its about 6 inches long. she has been whining and grumpy and rightly so. I feel bad for getting it done now but I know if we hadn't it would have shortened her life.

You have done the 'right' thing.........when you take on a dog you take on the responsibility to make difficult decisions.

I sincerely hope everything turns out well for you.

tell me about it, but homing her was the best decision of all. she was a bag of bones when we got her, had been treated like a breeding machine. so these illnesses now are only to be expected. Its so dam annoying though that due to her being a rescue and in poor health when we got her no pet insurance company would touch her. that would be my big tip to anyone, always keep money by for vet bills if you dont have insurance as its not cheap I can tell you. at least we have Kiera insured.

hello folks just a quick update on my old gal, she was up most of the night so needless to say I didn't get much sleep. Kiera was slightly hyper today so my sister took Sheila so that she could have a pup free rest, and I have slept all day leaving hubby in charge of the pup. She is back now looking refreshed and alert. I have now had a decent sleep and ready to face whats left of the day. (my sis didn't want her too leave) soo pleased she is looking so well, cant believe the difference in just a day. Very Happy
will get some pics of her later in her wee vest.
