How do I get those quote boxes to appear if I'm quoting from someone else's post?

Don't listen to Dave he's just mean! There is a quote button on the top right of each persons talk box thing, it will copy what they said and have [quote="USERNAME" what they said [/quote <-it would have closing brackets at the end of each 'formula' thing but if I put them in then it thinks im quoting username Laughing hope this makes sense
