we worm our girls every month with a lower dosage than they would get if they were wormed at the normal times. dont know the brand.

the only time gypsy was ever sick after a tablet, was after a flee tablet but i think that was because mum bought the ones for if your dog has flees rather than flee prevention.

what bran was it you used last time.

Hi

I use Drontal emulsion on Bonnie which is given by a wee plunger right into the mouth.
She has been fine with this and I don't have to worry if she doesn't take any tablets.

Hope this helps.

The dog warden came yesterday to microchip her, she is still in the huff with me.
She gave such a loud whelp and got such a fright but thankfully there have been no lasting effects and she is perfectly fine now.

Graeme

My preference is just to take him to vet whenever its time to get wormed.

I havent a clue which makes are good and bad, and I dont know if over the counter medicines cover all potential worm problems.

The stuff my vet uses is Milbemax and I think its 2 of them because the weight of Ben.

Sorry couldnt tell you if johnsons make Wee Blue pat and mick

Hi Graeme

I use Drontal plus for my dogs... you can get them from the vet or a bit cheaper on-line
(animalmedicines.co.uk ) They treat round worm and tape worm.... Most of the wormers that you can buy in pet shops and supermarkets are not very effective.

You should always treat for flees at the same time as worming... the best treatment is Frontline.
Your dog should be wormed every 3 months.
When they are pups Drontal Puppy suspension should be used every 2 weeks until they are 12 weeks old.
my 3 dog have never had any bad reactions with wormers ... might have been the flee drops that caused Blue to be sick..
some dogs and cats can react badly to the drops. Sad
Best to speak to the vet and decide which brand to use in the future...

Graeme... Janice had a post up about a week or so ago about getting someone out to the club to do microchiping..
I got mine done at the vet...it cost £24 each
But think you can get it done for free through the council dog warden

If you live in North Lanarkshire you can get your dog chipped for free. There is more information on this and contact details for the dog warden if you visit www.northlan.gov.uk. Hope this helps you
