Serious question but nothing I am concerned about in fact I find it hysterically funny Very Happy

Have any of you EVER had a cat that headbutts you for attention? I mean a REAL headbutt - not a gentle one but a one with all the weight they can put into it?

George my massive white Persian does this but ONLY with people he likes and wants fuss from. If you ignore him he will headbutt your arm/back in the exact way you would see a ram headbutt Shocked He pushes with all of his might. I know I shouldn't as he's being demanding when he does this but I find it hysterically funny and invariably laugh my ass off at him when he does it - so does everyone he does it to but it is well weird!!!! He's a gorgeous loving boy with humans so I have no worries about him being aggressive but with his brother cats he's a horrible bully sometimes and is always getting told off. Rolling Eyes

What weird things do your cats do?

Our cat parker knows how to work the alarm in the bedroom when it goes off at 6am.
if he's asleep, he'll get up and put it off; if hes awake and wants us, he'll press the radio button to get us up and let him out.

Floyd rarely seeks our attention unless he's cold and wants some heat of a lap. however, if he wants us up, he'll meow outside Giles crate until he wakes him up and then Giles cries to get up. I think Floyd thinks he has done this all un noticed and Giles gets a telling off!

all this is funny the first few times it happens, but when its a sat morning and you want a lie in...? Evil or Very Mad

We just cant have our ginger tom (ziggy) in the house at all at night, he gets bored around 3am just as your in a deep sleep then he starts plucking at the carpet in our room - Evil or Very Mad arrgghh its like a dripping tap-chinese water torture - you just GOT to get up and bodily put him out .... i think he knows how annoying it is and thats why he does it.
Other than this and his bad drooling problem he is a nice cat..
14 years old and still fit enough to fight Hek

what about Denny colin?

My brother's cat is jealous of my nephew. When he was a baby in arms, and when he screamed the house down, the cat used to run upstairs and pee in his cot until he stopped crying! Laughing weird cat

ME!

nothing compared to the attention that a dog needs.

Tara will bash your legs, but don't really consider it a head butt

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I've never known a cat do it before - first time he did it I nearly pooped myself now I'm in hysterics at him every time! Perhaps its a white cat thing? Laughing

George stops short of biting - He used to maul me during grooming sessions but he's good as gold now bless him although he seems to store up the aggression and as soon as I am done he'll take a swipe at the animal nearest to him when he scoots off.Evil or Very Mad

I've mentioned before that George is huge for a cat but earlier on today he followed Mark into the loo and sat on the scales - turns out he is about 1 1/4 stones in weight!!!! (The cat - not Mark!) Dunno what it is in Kilo's Confused but it makes for one helluva big cat Very Happy
