We dont care how much it costs Janis but we are asking next week to get referred to vet school because she is so severe. xx |

I have just seen this. Sorry to hear this news , Deborah. Referral to the Vet school sounds like a good idea as your costs will then be covered by your insurance. Hydro baths can help to ease her. I hope that her pain is eased. I am sure you and she make the most of your time. Tummy rubs from me and Basil and Poppy.

Debbie,
I remember when you just got Mishka I would see you out front training her, doesnt seem long ago atall!
The kids were very upset when I told them she's sick, you would never know!
Newfies are also prone to hip problems and when I had Sasha at the vet I asked about it, she said if they do develop problems there's various operations they can do, so not to worry....
Doesn't stop the worrying though, I can't imagine how u must feel, my heart goes out to you both! |

She still does to an extent but we have noticed a dramatic change the past week. Her x rays are being sent away to see if she is able to get hip replacements but we are in such a dilemma as it is quite a horrific op and a long long recovery time.  |

Thanks Lorna. We have her magnetic collar, ramp for the ca and her medication. We are going to start hydro therapy too. |

Good luck with the decision making - remember the chariot is always an option if the op is too much, by too much I mean in terms of risk, pain and % success rate NOT money as I know that doesn't concern you - you just want what is best for your girl. Please let us know how it goes.xxxxx
