I read somewhere that a diet high in cereals eg something like JWB reduces plaque build up.
I just clean Otto's when I remember....but he's still young so no idea if he has white teeth because of this and the JWB or his age.
But I would imagine that as with humans, basic foods will be best for teeth. |

well Koda was looking better but today he has squirts again and now Luna has it joy!! they are still ok tho, running around like mad and enjoying the sun, just going to but loads of cheap chicken( shhhh ) and feed them that for a while, but poor koda he hardly eats at the best of times he looks like a size 0 they still have an appetite, crying for their dinner but they aint getting it. Try call vets tomo, see how they settle down over night _________________ We are forever responsible for what we have tamed |

Fingers crossed for you Kerry - let us know how it goes.xxxxxxxxx
My boy is almost 100% - can't express how relieved I am. The puking is par for the course - he and Ella have always had weak tums but the breathing & the swollen throat had me much more worried than I cared to admit. Thankfully it's much easier for him now and his throat has almost reduced back to normal size.
Naturally he is getting more than his fair share of attention and affection now. I've not relaxed the rules or boundaries though - they're in place for everyone's benefit and don't ever get relaxed _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |

Wow I don't look at a post for 2 days and suddenly its 3 pages long, is everyones dogs unwell Get well soon to all ill poochies.
Well update on my pooch for now, Tilly threw up everything i gave her today so my mum took her to the vet while I was at work. She got an injection of steroids, she isn't allowed off the lead and is not allowed in the garden unsupervised so we can make sure she isn't eating anything. If she is we may have to invest in a muzzle. No treats, no hard food, no liver cake for the addicted little dog. She has to have some special wet food the vet gave us for sensitive stomachs and she has 2 pills of something in the morning and again at night. No sick so far so maybe she will just cost us an absolute fortune in vet food for the rest of her days. _________________

Anna....check online for a supplier of the special food IF she has to stick to that diet and IF she will eat it - you will likely get it FAR cheaper than your vet will sell it to you for
Hope little Tilly recovers well soon & hope the above lists of toxic substances was of some help.
Sykes is almost 100% again now I am HUGELY relieved to report _________________ Staffies are my life! Visit us at www.staffies.co.uk |

Leave it is a good command to get ingrained....we managed to get Otto to stop eating garbage. Course you have to see him do it. doesn't stop him rolling in stuff tho, but has got him off the horse poo. |
