My God, why didn't you remind me how hard work a puppy is.

Things I had forgotten:
    How much they pee
How loud their barking is when they don't want to be in the crate and you need a long lie.
How destructive they are if you take your eyes of em for a second (3 plants and several plant pots and a gnaw of the table!!)
That everything has to go in the mouth including noses and how sharp their teeth are
How they can run faster than you by 10 weeks and can see through your attempts to lure them in the house.

And that's before you even add an older dog into the mix who despite being normally very good suddenly reveals a new trick of opening doors, stealing your favourite shoes and retiring to the spare bed for a roll about and a chew. That's when he's not beating the puppy up.

They were both going back yesterday! We're sooooo tired. The only saving grace is I know it doesn't last - first 2 years are the worst Shocked

yeah - Ali seems to be forgetting all that as she's constantly on at me to get Giles an we friend!

They are hard work, but very cute all the same and make you smile when you've had a rubbish day at work

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. Mylo is very well trained now but still full of mischief.

For the barking get a spray collar, they're brilliant, we use Aboistop.

I'm still up at 5:30 every morning to give them enough exercise, I'm shattered.

This is nothing though, my wife's expecting twins around Christmas time, so a good sleep is about to get a whole lot further off for poor me.

All the fun of a new pack member. Ours still get John up by 6am. Please note - not me. I get to lie until 7'ish - what a lucky person I am.

They are really hard work but so worth it Very Happy At least you have him crate trained so you can hopefully get a bit of rest without everything in site not being chewed!!!
