saw this on another forum and thaught it was a very good post.

Can you describe your dog without looking at him?
If your dog was recovered by the dog warden for eg, how would you be able to confindently say ''that's my boy!''

Try to think of features that will set your dog apart from others of similar breed characteristicts, but do it without looking at him/her. A-symetrical colouring, unusual coat shape, even amputation...what is it that makes him unique??

I'm lucky.....alfie's v easily recognised!!!

Missing half a toe on his right front leg......missing half a leg on his right hind leg (well not quite, but it's shorter and deformed)......missing a right testicle, presumed in his tummy but who knows, prob doesn't exist.

He's not the best specimen of a dog but he's cute Very Happy

Mylo:
German Shepherd shape with floppy ears. Black and tan/red Rottweiler markings, black spot near the back of his tongue, no balls and a scar between the middle digits of his front right paw. About 35 kilos. Confident and friendly dog. Bright White teeth.

Sasha:
Small whippet shape with big Chihuahua ears and eyes. Tricolour, black stripe down back, tan underside. About 11 kilos. Wary and nervous with strangers. Worn yellow teeth. No balls.

I didn't cheat:)

Otto's easy - he has a scar on his side and the white across his tail and backside is in a straight line and a thin line down his head

The wee man has a white nose and his hair is a bit longer than it should be. And would eat whatever was in your hand even if it's not food.

Otto's chip has migrated - we got the man to test him when we got Rudy chipped!! I hope they scan beyond the neck. I am looking into getting them tatooed.

I am paranoid though - local kids were asking me "Is he a pedigree" and I said "Nope, he's just mutt"....they don't know what breed he is and I'll keep it that way.
