Hi everyone.

Hope your all coping with the snow. Riley has an ear infection and needed to go to the vet. Can't use the car so we headed off on foot - vets about 1.5m from house. I expected to carry him a for a bit, but it didn't take long for him to start yelping with cold pads.

I ended up carrying him most of way there and all the way back. He only weighs 6 kilos, but my arms were aching.

Has anyone tried snow boots for their dogs? Was thinking of getting him some, but are they worth it?

Any advice appreciated.

Kara

i love these http://pawzdogboots.com/ but you have to order them online and i dont know how much post is getting through. but i love them. if you look at my cockapoo snow videos you will see them moving in them.

poor wee boy he doesnt seem to have much luck at the moment with his eye and now his ear.

Mine were supposed to be despatched over a week ago - a bit ironic that the snow shoes can't get through because there is too much snow. Probably by the time they arrive the snow will be away. The same with the dog suit we ordered - nothing can get through. I keep thinking - well, maybe tomorrow - but I am just trying to be patient now. Sad

Teddy's shoes arrived today! Mind you, I think I walked him a bit far last night, not to mention Ruadhan. They were both a bit grumpy after 2 hours but I was loving it out there in the snow with hardly a soul about, and we were well wrapped up (well, except Teddy who is still awaiting his suit Sad ) There is something special about being out in the dark on a calm snowy night, in my view anyway! Don't think I will be out long tonight mind you - it is absolutely BALTIC out there. Haven't enough clothes to keep the cold out. However I must try the shoes out, so we will be round the block at least Smile
