Although Dexter likes the car if we go very far at all, eg puppy class, he is often sick. We drive with the window down and he is able to look out the windows and we are careful of leaving at least an hour between feeding and travelling but it doesn't always help! Especially after class when he has a tummy full of treats!

A friend said she gives her dog a Boots childrens non drowzy trael sickness tablet. I thought I'd check if anyone had experience of this before giving Dexter any? He is now 6 months old.

not used any tablets before and only ever had inca with travel sickness. we did the same thing with feeding etc but we took time in getting her in and out of the car and sitting in it whilst stationary and then with the engine running followed by small journeys to the local spar etc and progressed to a two hour journey to st andrews. we didn't do the window thing as i was always concerned about her eyes and a draft....so for most of the time the dogs travel in the boot of the car so they tend to lie and sleep. also heard of ginger root for motion sickness!
