Your not kidding, we were told that if we had any problems we could return him to the rescue centre, how could we ever do that, he is part of the famil and a lovable big rogue even when he is being a menace.

Yup naughty is one word you could use to describe his antics at the time I could think of many others. Luckily we havent been in our house for too long so we are still in the process of decorating since franklin likes to decorate himself, ripping up the flooring and covering everything in drool lol.

You forget how big he is until you take him for a walk and are constantly stopped by people asking what he is and what age he is and if he is an albino, its like having the Harley Davidson of dogs. People just want to stop you and pet him or run away in the opposite direction screaming.

Franklin looks gorgeous, well done for rescuing him, I hope you have many many years of fun with him.

I havent been on for ages, so for those who dont know us, our Dane is called Hektor, he's 4 years old and black (though going VERY grey round his muzzle already). We came to classes for about a year and a half but Hek HATES all other dogs...I havent given up on him though, we just manage the situation!

I know everyone thinks this of their 'breed' but I cant imagine ever NOT having a Great Dane. I have found Hek to be the funniest, clumsiest, protective and loyal dog I have ever had. We've had to 'compromise' about our car, much to Colin's , the last one we had wasnt big enough for 2 adults, 2 kids, a Great Dane and a Staffy. The drooling can be an issue and the back garden looks like a herd of cattle have stampeded through it in the winter but I wouldnt be without him.

Aw he is stunning. What a big cracker.

I wouldn't change our boy either he is my big handsome boy even if his mammy thinks he has a big stupid looking face sometimes.

Today we came home to a pink great dane when he decided to pull our freshly decorated fancy dress costumes on to the floor and sleep on them. He still has a pink tinge. I'll post some pics when I'm back at the computer.
