It is great. Tubbs is so happy compared to what she was but whatever we have given her, she has given us 100 times over.
I just came straight out and asked Liz today if there was any chance of us keeping Tubbs and she said "of course!"
I couldn't believe it.
We are so lucky!! _________________ What youneed for the ultimate stressbuster---

I know it's not going to be easy but the most worthwhile endevours seldom are. Hope you have your typing fingers on Janis. I think I will be looking for alot of help and support but I am just so happy for Tubbs right now; and me. My selfish side is coming out too in wanting to keep her. She is just such a breath of fresh air in our house. So relaxed and balanced. She seems to spread that state of mind around.
Cleo has an appointment at Glasgow Vet School for her behaviour tomorrow. £340 for 1 consultation with a behaviorist at the recommendation of my vet. I'm not convinced that it will be worth it. I am doing an H. Dip in Cynology(canine behaviour studies) at the moment but can't see how it's worth that much.
I will probably be frazzled after it tomorrow night; not to mention how Cleo might feel. A full moon too.
I'm stressed already! _________________ What youneed for the ultimate stressbuster---

So pleased for you to be able to keep Tubbs. I don't know either you or her, of course, except from the forum (I am hoping to get back to classes after Christmas, but I am going away for 3 weeks and won't manage before then) Hope the fee for Cleo's consultation will be worth it and reap rewards A lot of dosh for you to fork out, but if it helps wouldn't it be great. |

Hi Jean
She was really nice but a bit naive I thought. She didn't really listen to anything I said, which was very obvious from her written report. The written report also contradicted alot of what she said during the consultation. The kids, cats and dogs could have got some nice Xmas pressies with the money. Not just a waste of money, but a wasted 3 hours too! Big time!
Alot of what she said was totally inappropriate for a strong large breed dog, even downright dangerous. She holds clinics at Glasgow vet school, Royal Dick vet school and Broadleys vets in Stirling. She seems to be well thought of by vets. At least she WAS by my vets; until they got a copy of her report for Cleo. _________________ What youneed for the ultimate stressbuster---

Sorry to hear you didn't get anything useful from it all. Especially the money it cost. I had one out to house as my westie continually attacks the tv if an animal is on it. She told me "he s doing it for attention"!!! I am supposed to ignore him when he does it, despite him nearly bringing tv down ontop of himself and us having to replace last tv as he'd scratched all the screen. It's impossible to ignore Hindi I've not followed up her advice. The only consolation was I was charged £35 snot the extorionate amount you unfortunately were out. I hope you manage to work thru things with Cleo . U see u sometimes in class on a Sunday with tubbs. So will hear how u get on.
