I had Buster at the park today and as there was no one else around I had him off the leash. He was running about having fun and I saw a woman coming across the park, as she looked a bit worried when he started to run over to her I called him back and he came back right away no messing about. I had him come and walk beside me and the woman was impressed (so was I, I didn't know he could!) and she complimented me on my well trained dog! Jim will faint when he hears this one. |

That's great. See wot one night back at classes can do.
Its just a great feeling when someone compliments you on your 'well trained dog' - I know when it happened to me I felt like I was ten feet tall.
Congratulations to you and buster |

A big well done to both of you gives you a real ego boost when you get a compliment about how well trained your dog is, Buster will also sense your confidence so this will also help in your training |

I had a similar moment today when Otto had been playing with some dogs out on the walk. We moved on but I turned my back and he was off running after them. A loud shout did make him stop in his tracks, stood and thought about it for a couple of seconds, and came running back to me.
Does make you want to faint! |
