Dogs - but that's only because I'm used to dogs. Only ever had one bitch and she took aaaaaaaaaages to house train compared to all the dogs I've had.
In all honesty I'd have a bitch again it wouldn't be an issue, but if I went to see a litter of puppies, I know I'd choose a dog first. |

I picked bitches because i have had opposite problem to Marcella i always had problems house training the male dogs in my life
Although not keen on the seasons, so dogs definetly better from that point of view, not as moody!! _________________ Happiness is being loved by 2 Great Danes |

bitches .. they are only a nuisance twice a year during their season .. dogs are a nuisance all year round .. bitches are easier in my opinion to train ... and they have a better temperament...( also my opinion )
plus the added advantage ..they don't play with their "lipstick" like dogs do
in a house with three bitches and one dog ... ill never purposely set out to have a male dog again _________________ just because yer paranoid ... doesn't mean they are not out to get you

I said dogs, only because I have never had a bitch! I did consider a bitch when I was going to get Hektor but I must admit the whole 'season' thing did put me off. |

I do not mind either, although I have only fostered and owned bitches recently. I think it just depends on the nature of the dog in question for me. When we finally get another one I think I would choose a dog as of now I think kiera gets on with the boys more so than the gals. |

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs. Though I have had a GSD bitch in the past and she was much easier than either of these two that I have just now. I have also had a male springer, and it has to be said he was also easier than my current two.
I just love having 'my boys' They have so much character and attitude and I do love their total dominance - though wish I could control it more and wish I could eradicate it completely when it comes to their interaction with other dogs
Though I wouldn't think twice about having a bitch again. |

when you have dogs and bitches the season affects the two of them the bitch gets all hormonal and the dogs don't think with the brain upstairs instead use the little brain downstairs so fun all round not! |

I don't have a preference, I've had both in the past and agree with Margaret's post it depends on the individual dog/bitch rather than the sex. |
