Shirley, I was saying to Kirsty today that when Steven and I moved into the house I said I wasn't sure if i would bother with a tree, and maybe just put a few deccies up, and he was like "oh no, we have got to havea tree for god sake!"...

So i went out and bought this behemoth tree, and then spent ages trawling round ikea, B&Q etc to get enough lights and decorations to cover it - it cost a fortune...

And every year the only thing steven does it take it out of the loft! Oh I swear!!! He just tries to pull the "I don't know where to put everything and it will all get messed up, you are better at it than me" line, then makes a sharp exit...

And i'm left for hours trying not to loose the rag and set the damn thing alight in the garden!

I know it is beautful when it is done, but by the time it is all set up my back is near broken and my head is bursting - then before you know it, it has to come down again!!! Argh!

Hi Brenda,

Mine is a black tree too - but you can't really tell from the picture.

Did you get it in tesco? It is the same kind where you have to attach all the branches?

No I got mine from ebay 2 Christmases past, because you could'nt get them for love nor money in any of the shops, paid through the nose for it though.

The tree is not up yet. WHen it is , when Arlene shows me how to post pictures here I will post one. It is 7'6'' and has lots of branches to go up seperately. God knows how many decorations and lights. One of the kids has promised to help...

Anyway, Em and I have just this minute put it up. Very Happy
