I put neither...love them all!

I really wanted a girl when we got Rufus, but there were only boys left in the litter and I almost waited for the next one! So glad I didn't now, as can't imagine a better dog than my wee man!

I was speaking to a great doggy friend last night and she told me that if you don't think that your own dog is the best dog in the world, then he's not the right dog for you, I know that is probably simplistic, but I liked the idea!

I have three a female Stafford Collie cross who is eight, a female Stafford who is six and a male Stafford almost eight months. Overall I prefer bitches, I always said I did when I just had the girls and I still do (even though I love our boy). Interestingly I have found the male dog far easier to raise than I ever did my girls, easier around other dogs, easier at housetraining and so forth (but that could just be Flynn as opposed to males in general however my experiences with him are similar to what those who owned male SBTs told me in the past). What I have found with the male Stafford (and folk always said this to me) is that they are an all round easier dog to own, more biddable and more of a clown. The bitches tend to do what they like when they like whereas Flynn likes to please (except for Kyle on Sunday lol). The girls I find more independent whereas Flynn is always at my side looking for praise and likes to please. The girls (or ladies) will do what is required of them, and they KNOW what is, but only if its worthwhile for them. Whereas the boys just daft.

I'd never own three again though, and I probably wouldn't own two of the same sex either. Male and Female (SBT at least) seems to be a nice combination, what I have found though from owning all three is that really they prefer our company much more than they do others and I think they prefer to be an only dog.

Dogs! Love both, have both and if had choice would pick boys. Bitches are to strong willed and moody compared to dogs I've found. Current bitch(so true a description Confused) was nightmare to toilet train, chewer and has her issues with everything else. All my boys have been so easy in comparison.
