Big bob is beginning to smell overpowering - any suggestions until I can get to chauterault park at the weekend and put him in the dogwasher machine.

Why is he smelling sooooo bad?

Dodge never smells bad - he is actually a really sweet smelling dog.

Hee Hee

Honestly Brenda, he as really rancid, it has been getting worse for a couple of days now - just an overpowering dog smell.

He has smelled like that in the past when he had his skin infection, but I dont see any hotspots on him

just as well I love him soooooo much or he would be sleeping out in th garden.

you could try and rub him down with non scented baby wipes! you may need a full packet but i swear by them for everything! then possibly a small squirt of swartzkoff dry shampoo which is an aerosol for humans hair! it is more aimed at a head of har that is a bit greasy and you don't have time to wash! you only need a small amount and then brush it out or you could end up looking like you have a grey haired old man!

They have big dog wipes in Pets at Home (or what ever they call them these days) we used them on our last dog because she was terrified of water and if you gave her a bath she would hyper ventiilate

Acorn Pets Store at Westway beside new B & Q have big dog wipes. I keep them in the car for if we are long way from home with smelly dogs. It saves stinking out the car.

Thank you everyone, will try the dog wipes.

Bit concerned bout his skin though as he breaks out easily - but hey, its that or the smell Smile

A tea trea spray always comes in handy for times like this! Unless he has sensitive skin, just spray it liberally onto the coat at brush through.

you can get dog deodorant, i havent used it, but might be worth a try, think you just spray a little above them, keeping away from eyes.
