Just had a good look through the Friends of Cumbernauld Park site.....very interesting, answered a few questions which have puzzled me.........the round building in the Glen is a 16th century dovecote which sat beside the game keepers cottage.

The website http://www.cumbernauldpark.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/1.html is well worth a look.
Thanks for the link Cassandra

what an interesting website - I walk in the glen most days, knew the estate was owned by the Flemmings at one point and that was the extent of my knowledge. Loved looking at the old pictures and reading about the history.
