Our Beagle girls need done regularly. I have done them by myself. Ugh!
I got all the dogs anal glands checked by the vet and done when they were doing regular check ups.
Great Dane boys I have never had to do myself in 40+ years. Long may it continue. I am not sure I would have the strength to squeeze them and hold Basil still.

Not sure Leon will ever be able to look me in the eye again.

Wasn't much erm... "juice" came out, just a wee bit really, but it was eye-wateringly honking.

Next time I am at the vet I will get them to give it the old once over though - just to make sure I've done it properly.

My stomach was doing somersaults tho!

Well I think it's safe to say we both need "some space"!

p.s. I was telling my mum that I walked a great dane today... she was impressed until I told her that it basically involved me getting dragged around the Glen for 5 mins until I threw in the towel!!! I'm so not used to big dogs any more!
