Livercake Recipie

this recipe is a labour of love as the making of it leaves
a very pungent aroma in the house therefore,
we recommend you try this recipe when your not expecting visitors that evening....
Ingredients

1 lb of pigs liver
2 eggs
1 clove of garlic
1 lb of self raising flour

1....Place your pigs liver into a mixer and liquidise.
2....Then add your garlic & 2 eggs and mix together.
3....Gradually add self raising flour and mix together
until a stiff dough.

Alternative method

If using a small mixer follow steps 1 & 2 then remove half of the mixture before mixing in 1/2 a lb of flour thus avoiding clogging the mixer.
Next, do the same again with the remainder of the mixture.
Transfer to baking dish and microwave for 6-7 minutes
(based on a 750 oven) then cool.
Cut into manageable sizes, place in several freezer bags and freeze for future use.

Marcella, Rufus doesn't like it! LOL!

I think he is the first dog on the forum to turn his nose up at it, Janis offered him a piece after training on Sunday!

Och well...it means I don't have to wrestle with my conscience about not cooking him a healthy, tasty treat just because I don't want the smell!

I'm planning to "boldly go there" tomorrow and make Leon some liver cake!

Was in Tesco last night and they had lambs liver reduced to 50p or something... it looked fine (then again, that's all relative)... so I grabbed it, and brought it home and shoved it in the freezer. Going to defrost it tonight and try making it tomorrow.

I'll probably be boaking throughout, but I reckon I (just about) have the constitution to manage it!

Not fancying cleaning out the blender tho... barf!

we will see Kendal!

I might have to! Leon is sitting staring at the kitchen door and crying! His eyes were popping out his head when it was cooking. I was doubled over trying not to spew my guts up!

I was surprised that it was the garlic that smelt far FAR worse than the liver!
