Sheryl ........... don't worry so much! Laughing
Boil some rice and keep it in a tub in your fridge. Give them some and if they need more, give them a little extra!

Chances are they won't eat it initially ......... it'll be so bland and unappealing to them. But fear not! Dogs can last days and days without food, so if they don't eat it right away, persevere and don't worry. They certainly won't starve. If they're hungry they eat.

Very Happy

aaaahhhhhh, I actually feel better now Ive got that all out! ha ha ha
One more question...
Do I still lift it even if they dont eat? like after 20/25mins?
Also..
When I boil the egg is it so thats its hard boiled?

Well Marcella your right they are not eating the rice!
But tonight they get rice with a boiled egg so hopefully they will eat that!

What do you think Coby and Keano weight!? I need to know so I know how much to feed them. i think only about 5 or 6 kg they must weight.
According to burns they should eat no more the 50g-100g a day is this right?
10g for every 1kg that the dog weights?

they probably do weigh around 6kgs ....... stand on the scales on your own, note your own weight then hold one of the dogs stand on the scales again and whatever the difference is is the weight of your dog! Very Happy
I tried that with ours ......... it was hilarious, my knees were buckling under their weight! geek

As for how much to feed them......... go with what Burns recommend. If you feel they're not getting enough or too much adjust it a little. They are only guidelines anyway. Very Happy

Bet they don't like the boiled egg either! But don't worry and don't give them treats to make up for not eating their food.......... defeats the purpose!

Good luck!

Well I have to say this is day 6 and although the rice boiled egg diet is working for Coby! Its not making a huge difference to Keano!
I think Keano may have Colitis (don't know if that's how you spell) I'm going to stick to it for 10 days and if it docent work unfortunately it'll be back to the vet!
He doesn't seem bothered by it and has loads of energy but he does sometimes whinge alot into house?!

I don't know what his fascination with BOB was lol. Bob just put him in his place anyway! ha ha
I really enjoy the walks!!
Coby was really funny one of the dogs stood on him and he got such a fright that he cried and wouldn't leave my side for 10-15 mins!!
Finally he wants me to protect him and not the other way about!!!

Cool Laughing Cool

Cassandra Burns should be paying you commission. I've just sent off for some free samples too.
Needless to say Dale has decided to eat JW again. Now I've bought some Nature diet of course. It seems OK and he loves it but too dear to eat all the time. I noticed nature's menu looked much the same but cheaper and doesn't claim to be holistic. He had a couple of runny motions on Nature's diet but of course he'd also rolled in and eaten I hate to think what. Hence second bath. Evil or Very Mad
