Yes our first dog a Golden Retreiver named Dino cut his front paw on glass at Cumbernauld Glen. This was about18 years ago. It was so bad that one of his front toes had to be amputated. I do think the amount broken glass has increased since then though.

i voted never, but it is only due to sheer luck he hasnt, so no doubt soon that will change, we have to deal with it on our close, the police know the kids hang about there but do nothing to stop them drinking and doing god know what, mean while i have to lift Koda over the broken glass sometimes when it is that bad just to go out for a pee |

I have voted 'just once' but that is so far! Do you think it may be worth keeping them on lead a bit more round Glen? I know it seems a shame, but i may be forced to do so, as the poll stats, so many cuts at the moment, and i,m sure all have happened whilst off lead? However i may be wrong and this may sound a drastic measure as most of us make a point of attending the walk for our dogs to mix and socialize off lead.... oh i don't know!? _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

I voted yes more than once. My two do it at least twice a year, if you add all dogs I've had over the years it's mind boggling! Definitely getting worse in past few years due to Muppet who smash them and streets don't get cleaned as much or as well as they used to |

Yes John Star has had 4 cut paws as a result of shattered glass and as you probably know he currently has a cut on his paw. _________________ Dogs are like Chocolate, you just can't have one! |

Jaws cut his paws 3 times on broken glass. He's very accident prone. The worst cut happend when he was messing about in a puddle. He suddenly came out the water crying and walking on 3 legs. _________________ x

I voted yes though dont know for sure it was glass - he just came in with a bleeding paw but it was after being in an area where there is broken glass due to a drinking den
Would have been more than once yesterday if I hadn't spotted it in time. Dreading the summer as they come out more often then. |

Hektor cut his paw the very first walk he had after his vaccinations. Not the best way to start.
The glass seems to be getting worse. Our 'quick' walk, if I'm pushed for time, along the back of Lilac Hill had fresh glass AGAIN this morning, its getting to the point where I dont want to let Hektor off lead |

I have voted yes obviously because of Skye's paw but have been lucky never to have had another dog with this problem.
Although it is definitely on the increase. Every time and i mean every time i have visited the vets there is a dog in there with a cut paw!! Something really needs to be done about it before a dog or a child gets seriously hurt _________________ Happiness is being loved by 2 Great Danes |

I have voted no, but again, I think it is just luck, as I have noticed so much broken glass, especially in the area around the training hall. I once parked a wee bit further down at the houses, and the pavement back up to the hall was covered in glass.
With my Mum's oldie, Ben, we think the only reason he didn't ever get a cut paw was that he was so light - often we would suddenly see him trot over glass but he has never cut himself. (he is a tiny wee yorkie) |
