Is anyone here rigistered with them ?
My lot are, since last summer they've donated 3 liters of blood between them.
The PBB are based in Loughburgh, they're a charity and are available to deliver blood to vets all over the UK.
They're collecting donations again this saturday 15th at Broadleys Veterinary Hospital, Stirling.
The girls aint going this time though as they're in season but the boys will be there. _________________ You only live once, so get it right the first time |

Does our dogs need to be a certain age, for instance over a year under 6 years for example?
Don't give blood personally myself, good thing to do, never even thought about letting Tikka... _________________ Barry, Kylie & Jay with precious Rotti Tikka |

Such a great idea. Unfortunately, Doogle can't give blood as he is a Jehovas Witness. |

Just ignore Stuart, we do he has a weird sense of humour
I was always thinking about that, greyhounds are supposed to be very good matches for other dogs, but with Misty moo at 14 and we got her at 8...though I didnt know the upper limit was 8.
Should maybe get Pixel doing this for a few years as she is now 6 _________________ lurchers Pixel and Zev and whippet, Fen

This is really interesting.
Don't know how I feel about it as the dogs don't have free choice like we do. I gave blood for years but now they wont take my blood cause I have had B2 deficiency which they relate to immune deficiency.
Mute point as one of mine freaks out if anyone he does not know comes near him in a medical situation (and on antibiotics for a paw injury) and the other one is going to the vets on Saturday for treatment for his ears and will likely be on antibiotics too. (hate pumping them with these oh I swore antibiotics)
But.... really interesting and something I will think hard about |

kirsty I too gave blood for years but can't now. I got transfusion several years ago and its the reason I'm here now. Couldn't live with myself if dog needed one and couldn't get it although I would only do it if dog seemed happy with it without choosing! If they touch feet then Bear wouldn't let them as he has foot thing but if its on his leg feel he'd be OK won't know till I try suppose. Tala's out due to age
