Yeah it's when we take them out for there last walk of the night, we are from North Carbrain (the posh bit off course lol, lol) so it's when you are walking over the path to the hill that takes you to the Tryst, Then if you go down by the shop there is also glass at that bit of grass area....It's a total nightmare Yeah know how you feel am always worrying as well |

Claire, I hope Mylo will recover soon. Poppy cut her paw last week down the glen. I am getting so annoyed by this. _________________ Regards,

Claire, the TCP spray plaster is great for paws. It seals the wound and keeps it clean stopping any dirt getting in to it. It's worth keeping in the cupboard for minor injuries. |

I remember when Kip was wee we lived in Seafar and she was forever getting cut paws, one time it was so bad they had to staple her feet (no anastetic).
Around a year ago, Cass jumped a fence and on the other side was the bottom of a buckfast bottle in the grass (it had been smashed). Anyway she landed flat on it, the skin was torn down to the muscle and the gap was around an inch wide and about one deep too. I decided not to go to the vets this time, as we had always done in the past, instead I cleaned it with hibiscrub left it to air for a few days and put Iodine on it each day to stop infection. It had healed within 9 days, even the vet was surprised and said with antibiotics etc it would have been a lot longer.
As for the glass, I hate going out Sundays and Saturdays especially early morning as you know there will be a sea of green glass everywhere. |
