Hi.

not been around on the forum........or internet since Thursday night, problems with the talktalk exchange I think. The router was struggling to 'sync' with the telephone line.

The phone clall to talktalk lasted an hour and a half........I had to go to work half way through.....then the engineer told Marcella to reset the router........so we lost all the settings ( which I got from the net....and didn't keep a hard copy of Embarassed )

hopefully back now but I won't hold my breath!

Quite a few threads to catch up on..........and 5 new accounts created by 'spammers' to delete Evil or Very Mad

This is the first problem of any kind with talktalk.........we have been with them over 18 months and ended up changing the buisiness lines over as well.

I have installed a new wireless router and that seems to have fixed it..........took a bit of setting up though Embarassed

Hi John
Hope you've more luck with the BT phoneline than we had.

I used BT as my ISP until we had problems with broadband.

Basically - even though we offered to pay for a call - they refused to come to the house to check the line.

When asked what I would do if they refused to come out - I said I would transfer to Telewest.

Their response was - and this on a line where you are advised that calls are monitored for training purposes - well I suppose you could do that.

We did - and telewest has been an excellent broadband provider.

Commercial over

Cheers

Mike

Hi John,

Same problems here. I've been having withdrawals as our connections keep dropping or not connecting at all. We are with Virgin and were thinking of changing to talk talk because of this hassle. Confused
