Hi

Star still has some pink in his paws and I was just wondering if this is normal at nearly 8 months? If I remember rightly most dogs I have had their paws changed colour really quickly once they were being walked on a rough surface.

I was just wondering if there is something I can do because he does seems to get little cuts really easily.

Thanks
Fiona

angry4 Spoke to soon! Star has just came back in from a walk with a big cut on his front left paw! It makes me so angry when people leave smashed glass lying around!!! Especially when they kick it on to the grass and think that will be ok!!!

Sorry to hear he has a cut......how bad?

People complain about dog mess and we have to try and dodge the smashed bottles!

As for why his paws are still pink..........sorry I don't know Embarassed
It could just be that the pigment has not covered the whole paw?

Does Star not have a pink patch on his nose as well?

Yeah he does have a pink bit on his nose Confused It just seems that its always his paws that get cut and not Libby's I just assumed that his pads were not as tough as hers, could just be his bad luck right enough.

The cut is not two bad its long but not to deep, its right a long the back of his main pad and on one of his toes, think that's why he is limping so much! Still his cheeky self and following me around so it can't be that bad! Just cleaned it up and what a big baby he is! you would think his whole leg was falling off!

Hi thanks for asking, it is getting better but it is bigger than I initially thought! If you tilt his toes back it goes right back. Its not to deep and he is keeping it clean so hopefully it will be back to normal soon. Think he is milking it though, when the treats come out it seems to get alot worse Laughing

She must just stay up the road from me I stay in between the Tesco and Asda and we also have a tunnel with tons of smashed glass. The bit of glass Star stood on had been kicked on to the grass which really annoyed me!
